To the Rally committee, participants, volunteers and sponsors who helped to make the 11th western Regional HOG Rally the success it truly was, I and the Rally committee, Thank you. To the Canadian Armed Forces, Thank you, for supplying the “starting pistol” for the parade. To the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, Thank you, for your involvement and I hope we all behaved. To the HOG members that rode here to our Island, some from as far away as Thailand, Hawaii, Southern Texas, Australia and London Ontario, Thank you. To the Chapters from Washington State, Colorado, Idaho and the Mainland of British Columbia such as Langley, Vancouver, Kamloops and of course the HOG Chapter members from Edmonton and Calgary Thank you. To the City of Langford and Mayor Young and the businesses, Thank you for your cooperation and support, you were outstanding. To Deeley Harley Davidson of Canada in particular Don James and Malcolm Hunter and HOG Canada, Thank you. To Cliff Randall, the Western Regional HOG Director, Thank you for your invaluable assistance. Last, but not least, Steve Drane Harley Davidson, the dealer that truly wanted this Rally and proved once again that “size does not matter”. Thank you, Steve Drane and staff. For me, my wife and the Rally Committee, this was truly a great experience. To hear the feed back, see the smiles and watch all the 800 plus participants having the time of their lives, made all the effort we put forth worth while. To Goldstream Catering, Thank you, for the outstanding meals. Our motto is “ride to eat, eat to ride”, and you certainly helped us do that in style. To Chris Last, parts manager for Steve Drane Harley Davidson, and our Rally Web Master, Thank you. The Web site was outstanding. I have received many compliments on how easy it was to navigate. A job well done. No doubt, I have forgotten to thank somebody, and I apologise if I have, but you can come back and visit the Island so I can make amends.
